FAQs

How is psychotherapy and coaching delivered?

  • In-Person at Mind Move Therapy Studio: Ideal for clients who want to integrate somatics and movement directly into therapy. These sessions combine mind–body awareness, movement, and mindfulness in a safe, supportive space.

  • Virtual sessions: Conducted through HIPAA-compliant software.

  • Phone sessions: Offers flexibility — use your session during your evening commute or when you can’t attend in person.

  • Walk-and-Talk Therapy (in person or by phone): A unique opportunity to feel better in the moment as we walk 1–3 miles together during your session. Movement helps release tension, elevate mood, and open new pathways for insight and healing.

  • At-home sessions: Reserved for coaching clients only.

Deeper healing and learning includes:

  • Somatic Movement Psychotherapy: 90 minutes. Talk- and movement-based, tailored to the client. Not covered by insurance.

  • Experiential / adventure-based psychotherapy and coaching: Sessions are 2–3 hours. Not covered by insurance.

How long are sessions?

  • Psychotherapy (standard): 50–53 minutes.

  • Somatic psychotherapy (not covered by insurance): 90 minutes.

  • Intensives: 3 hours.

How do I pay for coaching?

  • Coaching is not covered by standard insurance. Contact your carrier to see if coaching is eligible under a Health Savings Account (HSA) or other benefits.

  • Coaching may be tax-deductible depending on your profession and circumstances; consult a tax advisor.

  • A superbill can be provided.
